Maintaining health in a Sick Economy is vital

Your health and well being is vital especially in a tension filled environment like we have today in this stalled economy.  Many people have told me "I cannot afford to keep coming. The money is just too tight."  Believe me I understand that, I truly do. However, I will point out the fact that regular chiropractic visits will keep you moving and your immune system up to scratch, most especially during times of stress when you need it most.

What happens to your income if you have to stay home?  Unless you are a federal employee with mandated paid sick days chances are you cannot afford to remain home on your back with the sniffles or worse a few days in the local hospital.  The expense of just one hours stay in the ER can take an already 'tight' economic situation and render it untenable much less a few days or heaven forbid a few weeks in ICU.  The most common cause of bankruptcy in this nation is health care.  We simply cannot afford to get sick.

Regular chiropractic visits are your best and least expensive option for 'wellness' care.  It is vital that you maintain your nervous system function in order to prevent protracted illness.

The Church of Medicine

Galileo suggested that the sun was the center of our solar system and that the earth rotated around the sun, that the earth was not flat but round and was part of a system of planets and not the center of the Universe. For this he was charged with heresy and threatened with death by the church who 'knew' that the world was flat and that the earth was the center of the universe.  He was forced to recant his statement to save his life and was then placed under house arrest for the rest of his life.

We know today that Galileo was correct.  Why then was he threatened?  What was so awful about his statement that the earth rotated around the sun?  The answer is simple, politics and power.  What Galileo said though true threatened the very basis of power wielded by the church who needed the world to know that the earth was the center of all creation and that their position as Gods hand on earth was never to be questioned...on pain of death.  In suppressing Galileo and his revelation the Church consolidated their power over the world for the next three hundred years.

So how is this medieval comparison relevant today?  Why bother revisiting something that has long since been resolved and Galileo vindicated?  It is relevant today because Medicine as an institution has in effect become the modern day equivalent of the Medieval Church.  To question their efficacy is to incur their wrath which is to face ridicule, political attacks and possible loss of license and financial ruin.  Luckily todays heretics will not face public evisceration's or being burned at the stake however are no less silenced and suppressed.

However, it isn't medicine itself that is the problem, no, it is the political power behind medicine that is.  It is Big Pharma that is the directing force behind the politics of the 'Church of Medicine'.  Politics in its raw state equates simply to money.  Money then translates to power and influence which is the basis for corruption.

To question the efficacy and safety of vaccines for instance draws the most explosive and vicious reaction from Big Pharmas influence base, usually on the request of Big Pharma itself.  I truly believe with all my heart that if hanging were an available response Big Pharma would no doubt use it to silence their critics, hence my comparing them to the Medieval Church.

It took nearly a millennium to emerge from the influence of the Church so that knowledge, science and freedom of thought and expression were not threatened by death.  Yet today freedom of thought and expression in the field of health care is not tolerated, very much like the medieval church did not tolerate enlightened thought which was demonized as blasphemy or Satanism.

Interestingly, however, the attacks on alternative medicine doesn't come very often from the professional side of medicine but by thugs who are paid by the establishment in order to keep the pressure on the competition and their hands clean in the event they are sued.  The skeptics network is a sorry lot, exceptionally so, but I will not digress on that tangent...yet.

Luckily the voice of health freedom is alive and well both politically and socially in spite of the attacks launched by 'skeptics'.  What we are each facing today is a struggle for freedom of choice vs suppression of choice.  'You' should have the right to choose the brand of health care you want.   You should not have it chosen for you or have your choices limited because of a profit driven ego trip from a suit wearing schmuck on Wall Street.

Seek knowledge and understanding...do not allow yourself to become a sheep to be used for the benefit of a few profit driven morons.

Nuff Said.

The Pharm is in deep doo doo.

I recently read an article in my local news paper stating that the Pharmaceutical industry would be removing its incentive programs from medical doctors. I just about fell over when I read it. What this means is that Mds will no longer get an extra paycheck in the mail from meeting a specific quota for their prescription writing talents.

I am curious to see how many remain in practice once they can no longer get extra money for writing a script.  You see many doctors today cannot rely on insurance reimbursement alone to survive.  The climate in the insurance industry is not conducive to a doctors economic survival and hasn't been for a while forcing the doctors to create alternative sources of income. The most lucrative source seems to be 'script' quotas.

This change is likely a side effect of the ongoing investigations in which pharmaceutical companies have been investigated for fraud, bribery and contaminating vaccines in order to 'create' a  false pandemic.  Some very serious crimes to say the least but which seem to be the 'norm' within the Pharmaceutical industries moral code of conduct.

Ok, so why aren't we hearing more?  Likely because the USA is the last bastion for Big Pharm to behave as it wishes with impunity.   Big Pharm policy changes are likely due to the European investigation spilling over into US jurisdiction.  Only two years ago the Department of Justice leveled a 3 billion dollar fine against three major pharmaceutical firms for bribing public officials. My own cynical view would suggest that these 'public' officials have names that begin with Senator and Congressman.

The fact that this article was seen in a news paper suggests that the Pharm no longer supports our nations news papers as they are a dying medium. You aren't likely to hear of this development on the evening news because that medium is still very much in the pocket of the Pharm.  Where the public puts its attention is where the pharm will put its money.  On the other hand it is only a matter of time before the pharm loses its ability to advertise, along with that law will be a limit on what they can donate to any electoral campaign and how much money they are allowed to ship off shore without declaring it.

This early pull back is a good signal that the Pharm is beginning to lose its grip here in the United States.  My only gripe is not knowing just how long it will take for them to be totally and utterly contained.

Let us all hope we won't have to wait long.

Unquestioned Medical Authority is Deadly and ignorant.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could all go about our daily lives doing what we want and never, ever be questioned about why we are doing what we do?  Better yet, wouldn't it be great if we could destroy the people who do question us?  Silly as that sounds it is a daily practice for the worlds pharmaceutical companies.

Any person who brings into question the safety or validity of a drug or more accurately a vaccine, the doctor or entity bringing the question home is systematically destroyed.  Dr. Wakefield a once prominent research doctor discovered that vaccines were front and center of the Autism epidemic we currently face.  He lost his license in Britain and was bashed in the world press for his 'heresy' and his credibility was virtually destroyed.  In other words he was made an example of to ensure that the vaccine producers were never again brought into question.

But I don't want to discuss vaccines, I want to discuss the unquestioned status of vaccine producers, though no longer 'unquestioned' their attacks on those who do question their efficacy, safety and morality is beginning to draw the attention of law enforcement agencies world wide.

As a child I was often 'corrected' for my behavior and depending on the offense I was either spanked or had my hand slapped, mostly to make an impression that would stick.  So if I tried to stick a fork in an electrical outlet I got my hand slapped and a scolding from mom or dad. Thus I learned that sticking a fork in an outlet was a bad idea.  Now, had I not been corrected or my behavior modified via mom and dads oversight, I may have learned the hard way and may have very well been killed or badly injured.

Big Pharma is in an example of what happens when a child is given free reign over his or her daily activities and is never, ever scolded, questioned or spanked.  What happens is you get a spoiled rotten child who will throw a tantrum when someone 'does' correct them or bring into question their behavior that nobody has ever dared question before.

We've all seen children in stores with the weary eyed mom staring blankly at their kid while they scream about wanting a specific sugar laden cereal and who only get worse and worse and worse the further way from the cereal isle they get, until the whole store is watching her do nothing to correct her childs behavior.  Too often mom simply caves to shut the kid up and the little brat gets his way and enjoys a shameless smirk as he hugs the cereal box.  This is what Big Pharma has become a great big, shameless spoiled brat industry.

Now what do we do about it?  Yes, I'm asking 'you', what do we do about it? Do we stand around staring blankly and hope they eventually behave or do we throw them over our knee and give them a sound and far too overdue spanking?  Those of you who might like that kind of thing...tsk, tsk...its not that kind of spanking.

The world, apart from the United States, is catching onto their games and has been taking measures to reign them in and prosecute them for crimes committed while behaving like the spoiled children they are.

The United States is the last safe haven for Big Pharma.  We are the only nation left in the world that allows them to advertise prescription medication.  I even heard an advertisement for a vaccine this morning on the radio stating statistics and infection rates that were clearly meant to frighten those persons in our society 'not' in the habit of actually thinking.  These are the people who stare blankly at the screaming child and do nothing until the kid makes too much noise and then placates them by giving in to shut them up and keep people from staring at 'them' for raising a spoiled child.

Are we a nation of weak minded idiots?  Are we so lost in our daily lives that we are willing to let a corporate 'child' get away with behaving badly?  I am not prepared to allow this myself but then that is why I am writing this and sharing it with you.  Perhaps what I say will resonate with you and you can forward this on to someone you think needs to hear it.  The waking up of America starts
with one voice.  I am not the first person to speak on this subject nor will I be the last.  But I will not be silent.  I see our nation being destroyed by a massively spoiled child whose only power is in suppressing dissent and wrecking the lives of those who dare raise the question is this vaccine safe or is it more dangerous than the disease it is meant to treat?

America is not a stupid nation, far from it.  However, we have become a tad lazy and far too willing to stare blankly at the screaming child we call Big Pharm.

Wake up!!

Would life be easier if things made better sense?

Don't you wish life could be just a little easier and just a tad more fair?  I guess that depends on your individual perspective.  In the United States the health care system is out of synch with the needs of the patient most of the time.  Health insurance is very expensive if it gives you what you want when you need it.  Trouble with this is you are spending a lot of money on a policy that covers you when you have a catastrophic illness.  Hopefully you won't ever have to use it. However, keeping this coverage is expensive and if you never use it where is all that money going?  Likely into the gas tank of a newly purchased Maserati Saloon driven by the corporate executive of the Insurance company covering you.

Cheap insurance coverage can be just as expensive in the event you actually need to use it and very often will present you with an extremely limited benefit package while you are lying on your back in an emergency room where the bulk of your bill will be accrued.  Sadly this is usually when a person discovers just what sort of policy they have and it usually isn't what they thought it was.  This is the type of insurance people have today a cheap premium, massive deductible and extremely limited coverage with a set of complex rules that in some cases render the coverage useless if, for instance, the hospital you were taken to happens to be outside the 'coverage' zone.  I wish I was joking.

It just doesn't make any sense!!  What is worse is the climate that foments this nonsense, a climate in which the executives are immune from criminal prosecution for what can only be considered fraud via an exemption to the 'anti-trust' laws, the laws prohibiting the formation of a 'monopoly'.  Our insurance industry currently operates under an exemption to this law.  Obamacare is meant to end this exemption, hence the tidal wave of resistance to it.  The trouble is that it was written by politicians.

What does makes sense, the wrong kind of sense, is the fact that the industrial model of health care in the United States is highly profitable for the corporate executives at the top who make enough money to afford the expense of keeping a United States Senator as a pet and a Congressperson as a step stool.  Yes, this is a cynical point of view but an accurate point of view none the less.  There is a reason why the term 'honest politician' is an oxymoron.

I can get my dog to do anything I want him to so long as I have a dried piece of liver in my hand.  A dog treat that will render my Airedale Terrier into a hair covered ball of obedience.  Oh yeah, he will roll over, sit, stay and hump my wives leg on command just to get that treat.  Of course I would never do that to my wife, mostly because I like living. The point is he would do anything for a dried piece of liver, even risk death, which is what would  happen if he humped my wives leg.

Senators and Congresspersons are little more than a well trained dog, who will do anything for a treat, a treat being a pile of cash in an off shore account or a well paying job at a firm where they really don't have to show up except to collect a pay check, which in all honesty could be mailed to them.

I do wish life made better sense than this.

The Germ Theory

What is the Germ Theory besides being one of the most effective marketing tools ever devised?  It is a theory that 'you' can 'catch' a virus simply by being in close proximity to, shaking hands with or kissing someone with a virus aka a germ.  Ok, so viruses can be transmitted through the air or by kissing the person with the virus. If viruses can be transmitted so easily why aren't we all dead?

Based on the naked theory itself it would stand to reason that 'we' would catch the flu, cold or SARS, AVIAN or H1N1 each time we came into contact with someone carrying it.  Meaning that we would never be well, ever.  Our immune system would simply be overwhelmed by the constant barrage of new viruses we would be inhaling, each time we took a breath.  Heaven forbid you fall in love because the act of expressing it would, theoretically, be fatal.  In short if the 'Germ Theory' had teeth our species as well as many other species would have gone extinct long, long ago.

So why aren't we all dead?  Our immune system.  We must be able to adapt to whatever we are exposed to or die. When we go outside on a cold day or bodies get goose bumps and shiver as a means of creating energy to generate warmth.  Our bodies have adapted to the situation.  If we are exposed to a flu virus via natural means, i.e. breathing it in, our bodies immediately identify it as a foreign invader, mark it and immediately begin manufacturing anti-bodies to fight it off.

You will become symptomatic as your body works to fight this new invader off.  When it is all over, you will have a permanent immunity against that specific virus for the rest of your life.  Whereas if you get the flu shot you are getting last years virus, doing nothing to fight off this years version.  So you will get the flu anyway and the immunity against 'last years' bug will wear off in ten years or less.

Historically the 'Germ Theory' is based on 'Demonology'. A medieval idea that sickness was caused by demon possession in punishment of your sins.  Yes the church was diagnosing sickness as punishment for sin.  So not only did some poor soul have to suffer from the symptoms of an illness they had to suffer the condemnation of their peers because it was 'their' fault for being sick.

Treatment for these maladies was blood letting which was performed by the local 'barber'. The years marched on and demon possession morphed into 'frogs in the liver' or a 'toad living in your spleen'.  The 'Germ' displaced all these with the invention of the very first microscope so the 'demon' now had a physical form that could be identified but the treatment didn't change...just the picture.

Yet the concept of what a virus or germ was didn't translate into cleanliness which was actually scoffed at for decades as quaint and beneath the doctors concern; even as pelvic inflammatory disease ravaged the female population in the 19th century.

The doctor who discovered the cause of this epidemic was summarily and systematically ruined by his peers for daring to challenge accepted wisdom which did not believe that washing hands between patients was necessary.  Even though he had proven his theory correct by reducing his cases to near zero by using warm soapy water between patients.   So again we see a noble and brilliant doctor ruined by lesser persons who refused to accept a new and beneficial idea because it made them look bad.  Heaven forbid they learn something new or advance their collective knowledge or be perceived as flawed and imperfect human beings.

Unchallenged and unchecked ignorance is more dangerous than any disease.   So it would seem the germ theory is weak and needs to be reconsidered from a new and less dogmatic viewpoint.   The problem lies however with the true disease facing society, unchallenged arrogance and prolific stupidity of those who believe themselves infallible and above being questioned and who destroy those persons who dare to challenge them and who are often more intelligent.

The true disease today is chronic stupidity of persons who believe they are all knowing and godlike.    Doctors must be humble before nature lest they become a disease themselves.

It is time the hatred stop.

Several years ago I was seeing a patient for an acute migraine headache.  The visit unfortunately was rather long, which can happen when a migraine patient is having an acute episode. An acquaintance of the patient had been waiting outside in the car.  She was a red headed woman in her mid to early twenties.  When she came in I noticed a paper towel wrapped around her right hand then I noticed a scowl and a clearly negative energy radiating from her.  Immediately I believed that she was injured and in pain.  When I offered to assist her with a band aide or something her scowl deepened and she let loose with a clearly negative barrage directed at me 'personally'.

I didn't know this woman from Eve, yet she felt comfortable enough to be rude and insulting.  It was later made known to me that his woman was a physical therapist. Ironically in the past 118 years chiropractic has been the target of the medical community, first from the AMA itself, then there was the psychiatrists, I still don't get that really but for a period we were being bashed quite badly by them and now physical therapists have joined into the fray. Physical therapists have been the most violently hateful group of any we have encountered so far.

As to why, the reasoning is the same as it has always been, to keep medical control of the health care market. Clearly the PTs being ancillary to medicine have been set on the anti-chiropractic war path by their masters as a means of containing chiropractic.  Basically it is the same battle chiropractic has been fighting for the past century.  It just happens to be a different set of adversaries representing the same old foe, political medicine.

As PTs do not question their medical masters dependence on drugs it is their desire to use PTs as the means of displacing chiropractic.  As a result the PTs have been told all manner of fairy tales about chiropractic such as mangled spines, stroke and quadriplegia being caused by chiropractors;  The very same stuff my grandmother was told when she was in nursing school in 1928.  She later became a chiropractor after she realized she had been lied to by the people she trusted to tell her the truth.  When she asked them why they had to 'lie' about chiropractic none of them had an answer, none.  They just rebuked her for deciding to become a chiropractor.

What gets me is these people are supposed to be smart, yet they can't even come up with new or even valid arguments against chiropractic, they have to recycle the old arguments and repeat them over and over and over and over...again to maintain the perception that 'they' are the gurus of health care. Ask yourself why anyone would have to lie to maintain an image of perceived wisdom and authority if what they had to offer was valid?

So I am pointing this out to you. Making you aware of the fact that chiropractic once again is under fire by yet another stooge profession of the AMA who by the way have a permanent injunction against them for earlier, illegal and equally vile efforts to contain and eliminate chiropractic. Google Wilk Vs. AMA.

In this case the AMA was handed an injunction to cease their anti-competitive behavior against the chiropractic profession by a federal court.  As a result the AMA has had to use a proxy to pursue their intended goal of killing chiropractic, their proxy being the Physical Therapist.

FYI if a PT attempts to adjust your spine for any reason, understand that he/she/they aren't nearly as qualified as they believe, and their adjusting/manipulating the spine is illegal. And what injuries that have been blamed on chiropractors are most often caused by a PT pretending to be a chiropractor.  They aren't licensed to do anything other than what is prescribed by a qualified physician, which they are not.  Which is likely why they are so violently aggressive and hateful to chiropractors who are licensed physicians with 8 years of college.

I realize that this is an emotional segment, but as a chiropractor I am tired of the attacks by such hateful miscreant souls who believe they are justified to hate chiropractic because their masters said it was ok.  Their hate of my profession is based on a perception created by a century old war that their masters have been losing. The hatred of chiropractic is not justified and has to stop.  I could understand it better if we were truly dangerous and causing problems, but that is not and has not been the case EVER.  Only stories told to create fear by incompetent, miscreant and godless people.

Chiropractic is still here with the lowest malpractice premiums in any health care system with a zero death rate.  Think on that.  Why would anyone 'hate' a chiropractor?"

Enough already.
